Terms of Use & EULA

Son güncelleme: 2026-08-03

In short: DivePal is a diving community. Content you share is yours. There is zero tolerance for objectionable content. The app does not replace dive training, a dive computer or your instructor.

1. Parties and acceptance

These terms form an agreement between you and Sefa Ekin.

By installing and using the app you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the app.

2. Who may use it

3. Content you share

Photos, articles, comments and dive logs you share are YOURS. You keep ownership.

You grant only the limited licence the app needs to work: to store your content, show it to other users and share it as you choose. This licence ends when you delete the content.

We do not sell your content, use it for advertising, or market it to third parties.

You may only share content you hold the rights to. Sharing another person photo without permission breaches these terms.

4. Zero tolerance for objectionable content

There is ZERO TOLERANCE for the following content and behaviour. When found, the content is removed and the account may be terminated without notice:

5. Reporting, blocking and moderation

Every post, blog article, comment and user can be reported from within the app. Reports reach moderators and are reviewed within 24 hours; content that breaks the rules is removed and accounts are terminated where necessary.

You can block a user from their profile or from the chat screen. You will not see their content and they cannot reach you.

Text containing inappropriate language is blocked automatically before publication.

You may appeal moderation decisions at [email protected].

6. Diving safety — IMPORTANT

DivePal is an information and community app. IT DOES NOT REPLACE DIVE TRAINING, A DIVE COMPUTER, YOUR INSTRUCTOR OR OFFICIAL DIVE TABLES.

The decompression and NDL calculator is for training and pre-planning only. It uses a simplified model and ignores personal risk factors. Always dive with your own computer.

Dive site coordinates, depth and current information come from users and external sources and may be unverified. Confirm with your boat, instructor or dive centre before entering the water.

Emergency information (hyperbaric chambers, phone numbers) is compiled to help. In an emergency, call your local emergency number FIRST.

Diving is a dangerous activity. You are responsible for your own safety and for staying within the limits of your certification.

7. What you must not do

8. Account termination

You can delete your account at any time from within the app (Settings > Delete account). Deletion is irreversible.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms. For serious breaches such as harassment or illegal content, no warning is given.

9. Third-party services

The app uses Supabase for hosting, Open-Meteo for weather and sea conditions, and Apple and Google map infrastructure. When you tap the translate button, the relevant text is sent to the Anthropic (Claude) service. Those providers own terms apply.

Dive site cover images come from Wikimedia Commons and are used under their own licences with attribution.

10. Warranty and limitation of liability

The app is provided "as is". Uninterrupted or error-free operation is not guaranteed.

The accuracy of information in the app is not guaranteed, in particular user-contributed dive site data.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect damages arising from use of the app. This limit does not cover intent or gross negligence.

11. Changes and governing law

These terms may be updated. You will be informed in the app of material changes.

This agreement is governed by the laws of the Republic of Turkiye. The courts and enforcement offices of Turkiye have jurisdiction.
